We Make
Humans create stories.
Then we live inside them.
We'd better make them good ones
We have built our systems on a fiction.
That humans are rational. That we change when given the right information. That knowing is the same as doing.
We are not. We don't. It isn't.
We are neurons, hormones, and narratives. Change one, and you change the rest.
So we do. Change. It's what we do.
Change how a space feels. The weight of a task. The dread of the new. The autopilot in the driver's seat, switching it off — to again feel what it feels to drive. Top off, wind in hair, gripping the wheel.
We refuse to let technology betray the whole in us.
We do [better]
We stand in the gap — between the complexity of humans and the complexity of systems. Between what we are and what we think we are.
That gap is not a problem we solve.
It is where we work
At the edge of AI and behavioral science. We need sharp tools — theoretical and practical — to build better systems. When the model shifts, so do we.
Serious about craft. Storytelling and pedagogy and design and crafting spaces — there is a skill to it. We respect that skill, because we respect the human that learned it.
We seek out the Other — that which is apart from us, the different. To grow — to change — one must become what one is not. This is not comfortable. It is not meant to be.
Technology should serve the people — never the other way around. Actual people, with a nervous system, a history, a narrative, not user data and metrics. We are embodied. Digital systems are not — or do androids dream of electric sheep?
We are what once served us well, now solidified.
We can be [better].
[identity]
Every transformation begins with a narrative. We build the story, the identity, the language — before anything else.
[infrastructure]
AI-powered learning systems built from first principles. Because the right tool doesn't exist yet — so we build it.
[space]
Humans move through space. There is no neutral space. Every space affects our state. Change work is state work.
To be [better] we must enter a space where we can explore. Exploration is a state of mind. There is science behind it. Transformation does not come from content delivery. It comes from [better] systems.
We build them.
We make [change] better
